2026 Live Youth Art Contest — Finalist Registration

Congratulations on being selected as a finalist for the 2026 IAMA Live Youth Art Contest at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco. Please review the information below carefully and complete the finalist registration form to confirm participation.

Event Schedule

• 9:00–9:45 AM — Participant check-in
• 9:45–10:00 AM — Welcome, rules & instructions
• 10:00 AM–12:30 PM — Live Art Competition
• 12:30–12:40 PM — Artwork submission / organization by age group
• 12:40–1:50 PM — Judging / lunch break for participants
• 1:50–2:10 PM — Judges finalize winners / staff prepares awards
• 2:10–2:30 PM — Families return & ceremony seating
• 2:30–3:30 PM — Awards Ceremony
• 3:30–3:45 PM — Winner & group photos
• 3:45–5:00 PM — Artwork viewing / families free to leave

Competition Guidelines & Materials

IAMA will provide paper, a table, and a chair for each participant. Finalists are responsible for bringing their own approved dry-media art supplies.

• Approved dry media may include pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, and similar materials.
• Paint, wet media, and materials requiring drying time are not permitted.
• The artwork must be created entirely during the designated competition period.
• Parents, teachers, guardians, and others may not assist the participant during the competition.
• The final competition theme will be announced at the event.
• Judging decisions are final.

Exhibition

Artwork created during the competition will remain with IAMA following the contest and will be included in the 2026 Live Youth Art Contest exhibition through November 8, 2026. Artwork will not be available for pickup immediately after the competition. Pickup/return instructions will be provided separately.

Finalist Participation Fee

Your initial $10 application fee has already been received. A remaining $100 participation fee is required to confirm participation and is collected through the finalist registration form below.

Photography & Video

IAMA will take photographs and/or video during the competition, Awards Ceremony, and exhibition. Participants may appear in these materials. The finalist registration form includes a required acknowledgment of this event documentation.

Exhibition Agreement *

• I understand that the artwork will remain with IAMA following the contest for the exhibition and will not be available for pickup immediately after the competition.
